Answers

Q.1:What is it?
A.:A VirtualSky is a transposition ,on your ceiling, of the heavenly vault part that you prefer, just as we can see it from your room if the ceiling (and the others overhanging escapements) it wasn?t there. That transposition consider the necessary perspective corrections to can obtain, from a privileged position selected by you inside the room, the optic illusion that we are observing the heavenly vault and not a simple plan ceiling.
Q.2:What isn't?
A.:It isn’t a mobile and dynamic planetarium. It isn’t a device that need electric energy to work. It isn’t an artistic interpretation of the heavenly vault. A serial product, for every VirtualSky, every single star is sliced and positioned in according to the project achieved from you.
Q.3:How much is it a VirtualSky?
A.:Usually it start from a minimum price of 150 euro, that price is work out on the strength of the area ceiling where it will be applied and the number of the stars; plus the expedition expenses.
Q.4:Buying a VirtualSky, what I get at home?
A.:In the box sent you will find:
  • The shifting sheets 50cmx50cm where there are yet applied the stars in the right position and with the exact orientation, ready for be applied in your ceiling.
  • A hard expanded polystyrene base 50cmx50cm to position the sheets -
  • A reference map of your sky portion to simplify the positioning of these sheets
  • A map of  your sky portion with the constellation traces and their names
  • The paper sellotape to fix temporarily the transferring sheets at the ceiling
  • A spool of thread to use like guide in the positioning of the sheets
  • The assembly instructions

  • Q.5:How many time it’s necessary to install a VirtualSky?
A.:If we are alone and we are not accustomed to go up and down to the ladder, we need 8-12 hours to complete the application and the muscle not immobilized from the acid lactic. If  instead we are in two persons we can finished the application in 4-8 hours.
Q.6:What material is a VirtualSky made?
A.:The used stuff is stick-on vinyl (like tat used for the stick-on inscription on the shop-windows) covered to a paint layer photoluminiscent.
Q.7:Can I determine what distance elapse to two stars on mi ceiling (for example to determine the proportions of a constellation)?
A.:No, once you have set up the data of the room where you will install the VirtualSky the distances between the stars and the consequent constellation dimensions will be worked out so as to press again faithfully the proportions that they have in the sky.
Q.8:Do I paint the ceiling black before the installation of a VirtualSky?
A.:No, the VirtualSky have to be observed in the dark and then the ceiling colour is irrelevant.
Q.9:When the light is on, has the VirtualSky a big visual impact?
A.:No, being the stars of a colour like this , if the ceiling is white, or however very light, they blend well enough.
Q.10:How many stars get a VirtualSky for one room of normal dimension?
A.:The number of the stars can fluctuate to 300 and 500, according to the abundance of the sky part you have chose.
Q.11:In the database used for the construction of the VirtualSky are placed the stars until which brightness?
A.:In the database are placed all the stars until a magnitude 6.
Q.12:Is possible to continue a VirtualSky on the walls too or to install them on the ceilings constituted of more levels like a mansard?
A.:It will be, but not on-line. For the project like this it will necessary you contact us directly.
Q.13:What I need in addition to the material getting to install a VirtualSky?
